Oxford Starts the Trend

I have to admit that the word “Oxford” conjured specific and memorable images in my mind (these include Oxford English Dictionary and education), but now, having actually visited, what clings most to my imagination is the town, or village, that makes up the city of Oxford as well as its traditional influence.  The simple, yet beautiful city is filled with architecture designs that bring its visitors back in history where its prestige began.  I like that tradition plays a dependent role on the way things are done at Oxford University.  Being a university for such a long time allows tradition to grow and build so events like an annual boat race, for the crew teams of Oxford and Cambridge, can be a widely known celebration.  The teams compete in London creating a celebration, not just for students and alumni, but also for everybody.
